SeaDreams is located in the Ten Bay community, which is between Savannah Sound to the south and Palmetto Point to the north. The Bahamian settlements are where the majority of restaurants can be found or on one of several major roads.

Palmetto Point - 3mi north
Mate and Jen's - located in South Palmetto this eatery features a variety of pizzas including conch pizza.
Lanny's - located at the start of the Bank's Road in North Palmetto Point, it features native Bahamian dishes such as grouper fingers, cracked conch, and fried chicken. Unique's - located south of North Palmetto on the Bank's Road, it offers a full Bahamian menu inclusive of fresh fish, steak, and other local favorites. This is more of a sit down restaurant with steps down to the beach. They also have an excellent breakfast featuring fish stew, fire engine, and traditional American breakfasts. Sweet Dreams - located in North Palmetto, they feature native dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. JJ's Take Away - serving fresh barbecue take out. Cliff's Souse House - a take away wagon in North Palmetto, they feature traditional souse dishes such as sheep tongue, pig feet souse, chicken souse, and corned beef. |
Governor's Harbour - 8mi north
The Sunset Inn - located waterfront just south of Governor's this is a good restaurant with a full menu. Favorites include conch soup, conch chowder, cracked conch, grouper, and fried chicken.
The Beach House - located just south of Governor's on the Bank's Road this upscale outdoor eatery features delicious tapas served beachfront. Tippy's - considered by many to be the best restaurant on the island, Tippy's is located between Governor's and Palmetto on the Bank's Road. It features a wide variety of eclectic dishes with daily specials including lobster, grouper, snapper, and other specialties of the house. Blue Room - located in the western settlement of Governor's they feature native dishes. Da Perk - serves breakfast and lunch. Pammy's Take Away - good take out located on Queen's Highway in Governor's. They have a small sit down area, too, for breakfast. Sarah's Take Away - right next door to Pammy's and offers the same take out service. Buccaneer Inn - located up the hill in Governor's they offer a good selection of local dishes. Fish Fry - every Friday night in Anchor Bay right before the bridge into Cupid's Cay there is an outdoor fish fry. |
Tarpum Bay - 13mi south
Illy's On the Rocks - a waterfront bistro on the Caribbean side of Queen's Highway on the way to Tarpum Bay, they feature barbecued grill specials.
Kervin's Conch Stop - just into the town of Tarpum Bay is Kervin's. He makes fresh conch salad seasoned to order for lunch or early dinner. He has both sweet and spicy ingredients. Ann's Take Away - traditional take out foods. Shantzi's - just south of Tarpum Bay settlement, they boast a full selection of seafood. Bayside View - another conch stand located on the Queen's Highway just south of Kervin's. |
Rock Sound - 20mi south
Nort'side - still our favorite on the island, Rose Gibson, the proprietor, is an excellent cook. This bar / restaurant sits high on the hill overlooking Nort'side beach on the Atlantic side of Rock Sound. The beach is accessible from the restaurant. Rose features fried snapper, grouper, cracked conch, fresh coleslaw, and rice and peas. The owners of SeaDreams had our after wedding affair here. It's wonderful and worth the drive.
Wild Orchid - located Caribbean waterfront this restaurant, under new ownership, offers an upscale and more modern dining experience with a wide variety of American and Bahamian dishes. Sammy's - located in the settlement, they serve traditional dishes done right. Open for all three meals with excellent service, good food, and good prices. Coco Plums - just south of the settlement on both sides of the highway is this cute restaurant that serves native dishes. Veta's, Nita's, Neta's, and Nakesha's - these are take aways located in the settlement. While the names may sound the same, they are all owned and operated by different owners. Leary's Pizza - featuring, you guessed it, pizza! |
Further North
The Deck - this funky waterfront bar / bistro is located just south of GHB at the end of Knowles Road on the Atlantic side. It features burgers, conch fritters and other light items.
Pascal's at Skye Beach Club - located south of GHB on the Atlantic and within the Skye Beach Club is the newly opened (Oct 2014) featured Sammy the bartender. They have a good selection of daily specials and island favorites. The Rainbow Bay Inn - features a wide selection of traditional American and Bahamian dishes. Bottom Harbour Beach Club - north of Glass Window Bridge on the edge of Bottom Harbour sits this waterfront bar / restaurant serving native dishes. Cliff Castle Restaurant (coming soon) - this was not open as of Nov 2014. This location, high on a cliff above Whale Point, will be a spectacular setting for a meal. |

Sharil's - located in Deep Creek, Sharil has a delicious selection of native dishes including her famous conch burger.
Bayside - also in Deep Creek features native dishes plus fresh baked breads. |
