Travel Information
Flight options into Eleuthera have gotten simplified. Connections are available either from Nassau (NAS), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), or Miami (MIA). Eleuthera has three airports, North Eleuthera (ELH) to the north, Governor's Harbour (GHB) towards the middle, and Rock Sound (RSD) to the south.
From Nassau
It's generally easier to fly into Nassau (NAS), clear customs there, and then catch a short 30 minute domestic flight to Governor's Harbour Airport (GHB). Rock Sound (RSD) is the next best choice. Both GHB and RSD are about a 30 minute drive to SeaDreams. North Eleuthera (ELH) requires about an hour drive. The three airlines that fly from NAS to Eleuthera are:
From the United States
Eleuthera is served from the US mainland by Silver Airways out of Fort Lauderdale or American Eagle out of Miami. Bahamas Air also has connections from Florida with a stop in Nassau.
Chartered Flights / Bahamas Fast Ferries
You can also charter a private plane or take one of the high speed ferries from Nassau. Private charters cost quite a bit more unless you intend to fill the plane. The ferry schedule itineraries don't usually work so well unless you plan on spending a night in Nassau before coming to Eleuthera as they leave first thing in the morning.
